| LLOYD BRACKETT AWARD |
| The Lloyd Brackett Award is an award given by the parent club of the German Shepherd Dog, The German Shepherd Dog Club of America. The definition of the award is: "Persons whose breeding program exhibits a vision of improvement to the breed, tempered with the wisdom to exhibit strict attention to the Standard of the German Shepherd Dog. The Recipient of the Award should be someone whose dogs display a consistency of breed type and have created a line of German Shepherds Dogs easily recognizable within the breed." |
| Requirements for this award are: Minimum 15 yrs GSDCA Member, Breeder Minimum 15 yrs, (15) German Shepherd Dog Champions bred on the nominee's own property - 10 of the 15 Champions must hold at least one of the following titles: Select, AOE, ROM, Best or Best of Opposite futurity/Maturity (Regional). |

| In November 2008 at the German Shepherd Dog Club of America's National Show which was held in Beaumont, Texas, Ann Schultz of Edan Kennels was honored with the Lloyd Brackett Award. Because of the rigorous requirements, Ann Schult is only the 6th person to receive this award. It has not been given out every year. |
